THE FIRST TEE.
I'd been a fan of golf since the late '80s, but it wasn't until 2020 that the game properly took hold.
During lockdown, when golf was one of the few things we could actually do, I went from caddying one time just to be with pals, to hitting one enormous slice — and somehow found myself quickly lost in the game.
Finding the best golf trainers, shoes, gear and accessories became as big an obsession for me as actually playing the game itself.
It didn't take long to realise my ever-growing golf wardrobe wasn't particularly sustainable, or cheap or more importantly, I realised I wasn't really interested in the 'new'.
I wanted the good stuff. The heavyweight cottons. The old-school polyesters. The classic logos. The individual club pieces. The 80s and 90s fits. The stuff you simply don't see anymore.
And I found the hunt for a vintage grail almost as satisfying as a rarely seen birdie (for me anyway).
THE SEARCH
THE HUNT GOT SERIOUS.
Through the golf community — and particularly golf Instagram @wolfie_golf — I quickly realised I wasn't alone.
There were plenty of people searching for great vintage golf gear, but particularly in the UK, actually finding the good stuff wasn't always easy.
That's where wolfiegolf came from.
A constant search, across the UK and further afield, for vintage golf clothing we genuinely think is worth owning.
No endless rails of filler. No chasing whatever happens to be new this week.
Just great vintage golf gear. Pieces with quality, character and plenty of golf left in them.
